The CHICAS Story
CHICAS Cuban Cafe was born out of the deep love for Cuban food shared by its founders, Ileana Vedey and Isidro Castro. Their journey began in 2018 with a humble coffee shop, which has since blossomed into a vibrant restaurant on Main Street in DeLand, FL.
At CHICAS Cuban Cafe, our slogan 'Mi casa es su casa' is more than just words-it's a promise. You'll be welcomed like family in our inviting dining room, where our service is authentically Latin: warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring.

Our menu features traditional Cuban dishes like Ropa Vieja, Picadillo, roasted Mojo Pork, and a few signature dishes. A local favorite is the Famous CHICAS Chicken plate and the "Shrimp & Churrasco" plate, grilled to perfection and served with authentic black beans, rice, sweet plantains, and savory Flan.
Our authentic Cuban espresso, which has garnered a loyal local following, and our delicious fresh pastries, delivered straight from Miami, are sure to satisfy you every time.
